"Photo-graphic" contemporary history in pixel close-up - acrylic photos limited, numbered
PermaNet365 is an artificial word formed from the words "permanent", "Internet" and the number "365" as a symbol for a year. In two steps, PermaNet365 creates "photo-graphic" art from contemporary history: for one year, the top news stories from various Internet news sites are documented by photographing a computer screen. Years later, the motifs are physically reproduced from this image material in greatly enlarged form as pictures. This creates a completely new effect: pixels and graphics come to the fore, the historical context recedes into the background. This always creates a clear inner distance between the newly created work and the original report in image and text; often the effect of the works is even diametrically opposed.
